Every freaking time someone posts in a thread, it sends me an email!!

How do I make it stop! I am getting emails galore!

yep...like how myspace and Facebook do when someone comments on your page.... Everytime someone posts in a thread I have posted in, it sends me an email to let me know!

Go to the top right hand corner of the screen where you see Welcome, becwro1 and click on My Active. Then click on Edit Preferences on the left side of the screen. Click off "no" on all the annoying choices.

This won't solve the problem immediately, but within a few hours you should stop getting emails.

I have my email notification turned off and it's still sending me emails.

I think there are two avenues you need to use to turn that stuff off -- in each thread, and in your preferences.

You are now officially the only race registration website that I have permanently blocked from sending me any emails whatsoever. Please kindly go die in spammer hell.

Why?

Because you've set up your system to spam people unless they opt out.

Come back when you've re-engineered your system so that it ONLY EVER emails someone when they've deliberately ASKED to be emailed.

damn I hate how active auto-subscribes me to stuff I comment on

this opt-out crap needs to default to "disabled"
