Re: Thurs. 9/13 Boomer Runs and ???
Good morning Everyone,

I had a tough time geting up this morning, since I went out for a burger and beers with my son who is in town from GA for a few days.

I did get up though, and ran 3.5 miles in 34:42. Temp at 46F

Good runs everyone,

Easy run today...3 miles.

This is our high school team. My DD ran this route many a time in her days on the team. PLEASE be careful out there.

Thursday the 13th Greetings ~

~> Frisky late morn 4-miler in so-beautiful-I-must-be-dreaming conditions. More signs of the changing season: premature splashes of fall color; sweet fragrance of ripe Concord grapes. Trees seem noticeably happier in the wake of Tuesday's much-needed gullywasher. . . . .

Re: Thurs. 9/13 Boomer Runs and ???
Nice runs today. I went out for 6 M, trying (successfully) to keep my HR close to 130 bpm (74% of max) for the last 4. My pace in those 4 ranged from 8:20 to 8:32, which I was happy about and attribute to the weather and my training.

Good morning all! I did workout #2 from the 60 minute runner program by Switzer. I walked 5 mins, ran 30 mins, and walked 5 mins, then stretched. The weather's good here in NY and I felt great after I showered. Now I'm at my office and wishing I was outside instead.

rest day for me. Planning a long run tomorrow a.m., then heading out of town for the weekend. I'll map out a 10-11 mile route. we've had nice cool overcast mornings, so tomorrow's run should feel great!

Hiya Boomergangers

Today was supposed to be a rest day from running with a 24 mile bike commute. My bike is temporarily down due to just feeling flat. (The rear tire, that is, is feeling extremely flat). So I just did a ~3 mile walk in the beautiful 63F and sunny mid-day weather aong the Hudson here in Albania. 2.8 miles or so in 39 minutes for about a 14:00 mile pace. I know I was going faster than that for the last 2.5 miles but went very slowly for the first .3 or so to warm up these tight hips and hams. Everything feels much much better now, though I'm not used to sitting at my desk with sweat running down my neck

Another rest day today. So I'm resting.

Westley: Where am I?
The Albino: raspy voice The Pit of Despair! Don't even think...
clears throat
The Albino: ... don't even think about trying to escape. The chains are far too thick. Don't dream of being rescued, either; the only way in is secret. Only the Prince, the Count, and I know how to get in and out.
Westley: So I'm here till I die?
The Albino: Until they kill you, yeah.
Westley: Then why bother curing me?
The Albino: Well, the Prince and Count always insist on everyone being healthy before they're broken.
Westley: So it's to be torture?
The Albino: nods enthusiastically
Westley: I can cope with torture.
The Albino: shakes head enthusiastically
Westley: Don't believe me?
The Albino: You survived the Fire Swamp, so you must be very brave, but no one withstands The Machine.

Perch, nicely done on the hills! I like pictures, too.

PBJ...how do you keep count? I must be too "simple" cuz I do a few laps on the track, stop and think... was that #4? Or #5? Or only 3...? Hopeless.

Nordic, hope this weather holds! You're doing the middle leg right? (for everyone: it's the hardest hilliest part... he's sooo tuff!) If I ever do a relay, I want the last leg. I love that downhill stuff! My oldest has a XC meet on Friday out in Salcha...

Holly, I thought about the shirt/gloves thing. I might have DH meet me at mile 8 for a wardrobe adjustment just before climbing the Dome. Good time for a Gu, too.

Hope everyone has greta runs and workouts today! I might go out for a couple miles tonight just to shake out some kinks. I find my knees get stiff when I don't do much... Also might keep me from climbing the walls at home later...
