(he he. You're as bad as Tet with all the tall tales of over the top frivolity...okay, me, too.)
Amiga, I am so proud of you. Can't even put it into words. I know how hard you've been working the past several months and I'm so thrilled for you that it paid off. To see you come across the finish, looking so strong in that wind and rain, and then get that looooong bear hug -- well, it was easily the highlight of the weekend.
You now know how to do the marathon training. You also know how far I think you can go, too. You have the strength to do it.
Get some rest now and try to pamper yourself for a few days as best you can... you have a busy weekend ahead of you!
Now I understand the timing of the BellyDance and Portland Pounder marathons being on the same day. All of us together in one place would have been too much of a great thing. EXCELLENT PR, Mme Butterfly. You were a fantastic hostess to put this great soiree together. Happy belated birthdays to the twin beauties! glidegal
Wow, mariposai, what a huge marathon PR!
I'm a dark horse, running on a dark race course
Mariposa, congrats on the big PR! You know, from what everyone is saying, you sound like a real gem. To make all those arrangements so that the Boomers could have so much pre-race fun and comraderie, is fantastic. If there is a repeat get-together next year at Bellingham, count me in!
Wow, posi, congratulations on a stunning PR and an awesome negative split. You look fantastic in the pictures too. So glad you got to run with your "dad" too.
Looking forward to seeing you soon
What a delightful report, Mariposai! You and the other goddesses are beautiful and how nice everyone hit it off so well together. Sorry about the wind and rain but it doesn't appear to have affected your fun any!
Thanks for all the photos and congrats on your HUGH PR!
Congrats on the hugh PR! Great job! And a lovely time was had by all. What more could you ask?
Great pics! Thanks again for all the hard work organizing the group-it's like herding cats, isn't it? I'm glad I was able to be a part of your huge PR.
The moral of this RR seems to be ....party, party, party and you're guaranteed to PR big time! Congrats on a fine race!
Mariposai – You have such an inherent sweetness and joy that I think I would come to Bellingham to run that marathon just to join the festivities and run a few miles with you, dear lady. Congratulations on your huge PR, and in all that wind, too. Great job! And the photos are wonderful... !http://www.coolrunning.com/forums/smile.gif|src=http://www.coolrunning.com/forums/smile.gif|border=0!
Wow, you make this sound so inviting. Sounds like a great weekend and a great time. Congrats on the PR!

You are in girl...come to Bellingham next year and you will see the welcoming crew from the PNW god and goddesses. Hey, I would even pick you up from the airport...be your driver and show you how Latinas party with their friends...and at the end you also will have a huge PR.
That goes to all of you boomers. I am already planning my new bellydancing moves for next year
FanTASTIC! I'm so delighted to read this! Happy, happy congratulations to you for a wonderful time and a wonderful PR to take home, mariposai!
Holly is so right, your joy and sweetness is amazing. I am very glad to have met you. You are a blessing. My best Mariposai!
PS- for most, a 26.2 miler is enough, can only imagine your time if you had run straight through. But then, it wouldn't of been the marathon u chose to run. oxox.
Ur farthest north fan!
You boomers are the greatest. Thank you for your kind and sweet comments. I feel unworthy of all this praises since I just run for the pure joy and fun of running a marathon...in my eyes most of you deserve all the compliments for all the hard work and dedication you devote into your training. When I grow up... I want to be like you.
