Re: 40's on the Run -- Week of 12/16

Morning Sunshines! Big storm passed through here last night and is suppose to be back tomorrow, dumping rain and snow until Monday sometime. Looks like it'll be a wet run Thursday.

Today was 45 min of core/strength with The Firm gals - "Touch Tape 2." I can barely lift my arms. Ugh!

I have to get my act together and get some work done around here today. Somewhere under this mess is a desk! You guys have a good one!

Re: 40's on the Run -- Week of 12/16

Good afternoon to all,

Took advantage of the cooler weather and went for a run this afternoon when I got out of work. Got in 7 miles, 1:16 @ 10:57 pace. Woot, woot for me. I did take a couple of walk breaks so I could chug down some water but other than that, I was feelin' the love. Bout time!

If I can get in an 8 miler before the end of the year, I will just about be at where I was in July before my knee kept messing up.

Happy runs to all and to all a goodnight......Jewels

No! Don't leave us, Saph!

What a day, what a day, what a day. I need a HUGE glass of wine . . . and someone to massage this frigging tightness outta my right hamstring. Dang! Guess I'll have to just settle for the wine.

Re: 40's on the Run -- Week of 12/16

Hey guys - These directions let me get into CR to download my running log. Unfortunately, I don't think I have the right spreadsheet to open it up. Hopefully it works for you, as well.

What directions? I'm desperately trying to get my data. I followed the directions somewhere on this site, got a notification that my data would be here within 24 hrs - and, zip.

BTW, I found a way to turn off email notifications - it's in your profile preferences.

Re: 40's on the Run -- Week of 12/16

Ok still not real crazy about this place but don't want to lose our group. I checked out some other forums, the kickrunners one looked promising but that site is down now. Also looked at the runningforums.com and traffic seemed a little thin. Anyway will give this a chance and see what happens.

Did another long ski on Sunday ,spent a couple hours on x-country skis and was a little sore yesterday but it doesn't bother my hip. The hip is getting a little better all the time. Finished off my first bottle of glucosamine so been on it a month. Last run was at class wednesday, gorgeous 5 degree night. I did my quicky 30 minute weight routine this morn, kinda struggled with that today.

Wow Leslie getting robbed. I would be just like you the first instinct would be anger then a little fearfull when it all sunk in.

Jewels good job getting miles worked back up after injury, just go slow and easy as LR Nic says to be a "lifer".

Joe, what can I say you just keep building on those miles, you are a natural, (and your hard work doesn't hurt either!!)

Carol sounds like you hip is hanging in there, thanks for starting the post, so I knew we were up, even though I couldn't get in.

Arla you have plenty of dry days in CA so don't sweat missing one run, you'll make it up somewhere.

Saph give it a few weeks, maybe they will work it out.

Hopefully Mtn chk and bty will make it in here. hopefully not forgetting anyone, I missed Ya all last week when CR was off.

Re: 40's on the Run -- Week of 12/16

Woohoo! I just headed over there, it looks great! The running log is MUCH more useful. The one here doesn't let me graph heartrate or pace over time, my two main measures of progress.

You'll like the log if you think having the ability to track mi, km, yds, and m is useful.

What does everyone think of starting a 40s on the Run in the Running Ahead version of Newbie Cafe ("Running 101")?? Maybe I'll just start it and see what happens.
