Re: SM HM PR RR + APOLOGY
Nice job, Andy. PR, negative splits, boomer meetings, making up with your DW afterwards.

Re: SM HM PR RR + APOLOGY
Andy, your poor DW... I can just imagine my DH would be backtracking the course! Good job on the PR, that's amazing to have the negative splits.
I think the Garmins are all messed up on the tunnel miles because they had to "guess" after regaining signal. I know mine was showing --:-- for pace through there. It was hot and stuffy in the tunnel, wasn't it? I was very happy to get out of there.
So good to meet you and hope our trails cross again sometime!

Andy.. I hope you're out of the dog house by now
Great race and RR. You really smashed that course and even better, a half marathon PR! Woo hoo! Congratulations!

Well ran race Andy. How does DW enjoyed her flowers? You gave her a bouquet of flowers, didn't you?

I enjoyed readying your race report. I also was delighted to have met you at the Pink Door. Thanks for sharing your training tips with me and encouraging me towards a great race the next day.

You are one great runner. I hope to be at the finish line when you run your first marathon.

Re: SM HM PR RR + APOLOGY
Congrats on the new PR. I've worried the DW a few times by being overly optimistic on a few races too. Now I usually just give her the worst case time.

Thanks for the RR.

Andy, Congrats on blasting to your new PR. Great race. But, you seriously need to stay in the right time zone. You owe your sweet wife big time. It was great chatting with you at the pre-race dinner. Hopefully we will get more chances in the future. Now, get back to training for the next race and PR.

Good running!!!

Re: SM HM PR RR + APOLOGY
It could have been worse -- it could have been a wife with two toddlers in tow waiting... (those are the kind of worries I had once upon a time...)

I hope all is well at home now and the couch didn't screw up your back.

Congratulations on your PR! And, hey, impressive that you ran up Galer, even if the heart rate did shoot up. That would be expected.

Good to meet you AND thanks for the name clarification! I had to google it. Not exactly an astronomer. (I'm guessing mc got it right away. )

Re: SM HM PR RR + APOLOGY
You sure did well, Iapetus. A big PR, negative splits, and meeting with a bunch of boomers sure makes for a great occasion. Congratulations.

Re: SM HM PR RR + APOLOGY
Congratulations on the PR......

Did the fact you were behind schedule with wifey cause you 1) to run faster? and 2) have your HR shoot higher?

In any case, the good news for her and you was that there was nothing wrong with you. If you had gotten to the finish line and she was disappointed that you showed up..THEN you have problems

Thanks for the report.

Re: SM HM PR RR + APOLOGY
Wow! What a huge PR! (and a major DW blunder) Hope she forgives you soon, even though we all know she won't let you forget it for a long long time.

Congrats Andy!
