Rose appreciates your well wishes. She had laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis on Thursday. In addition to the "planned work", there was a partial resection of the ileum which was constricted from some of the resulting adhesions (for the less technical-- it looked like a twisted party ballon). So, she had to spend the night in the hospital and is restricted to mushy stuff until things get moving. She also can't run for a couple weeks and she is quite disappointed because she is 23 miles short of her yearly goal. And "no-one can run them for her"
She is beginning to feel better but was not up to writing yet.
Thanks,
Ralph
No one can run them for her but us.
I'm only running three today - schools are closed due to ice on the roads. But I'm so far short of my mileage goal for 2007 that Rose can have all of my miles today.
Anyone else care to contribute, in the Spirit of the season??
Merry Christmas Rosie!

She can have my 7 from today - they were lovely and pleasantly comfortable - the kind I'd want to share with someone. !http://www.coolrunning.com/forums/smile.gif|src=http://www.coolrunning.com/forums/smile.gif|border=0!

Brain BiscuitBalista,
You silly guy! Thank you. I am the richest girl in Bedford Falls. I feel quite fortunate that my surgery wasn't more complicated and that my prognosis is fine.
I am not that good at math but, it appears I am going to surpass my goal if you all keep donating miles to me!
(My 2 week post-op doctor visits are on the 20th (gyn surgeon) and on the 21st (general surgeon) I am hoping to be cleared for running then and, perhaps, will be able to squeeze in my own 23 miles. One of my doctors said, "No way." but he is not a runner...)
Thanks again. You all are the best.

You are not getting my 4.5 elliptical miles today because I don't want them tainted with injuries. I think you're going to get lots of strong, healthy miles from the others. Hope you recover soon. Spareribs
