No run for me today, golf society xmas do. So this made me titter to start the day instead of a run,
According to a news report, a certain private school recently was faced with a unique problem.
A number of middle school girls were beginning to use lipstick and would put it on in the bathroom. That was fine, but after they put on their lipstick they would press their lips to the mirror leaving dozens of little lip prints.
Every night, the maintenance man would remove them and the next day, the girls would put them back.
Finally the principal decided that something had to be done.
She called all the girls to the bathroom and met them there with the maintenance man. She explained that all these lip prints were causing a major problem for the maintenance man who had to clean the mirrors every night.
To demonstrate how difficult it had been to clean the mirrors, she asked the maintenance man to show the girls how much effort was required.
He took out a long-handled squeegee, dipped it in the toilet, and cleaned the mirror with it.
Since then, there have been no lip prints on the mirror.
There are teachers, and then there are educators.

Ha! I rarely ever ever get to be #2 to post on the daily!! Hee! I haven't even gone to bed yet! Still just 11 pm here in Fairbanks AK... Thanks for starting from the other side of the pond, Roy!
I might run a few outside after work on Wednesday, but not sure yet. Path wasn't cleared as of Tuesday evening...
Packing for my trip soon... looking forward to meeting Seemomgo in Denver! Not sure what we'll do, but she might be scouting out a nice nearby running spot... or maybe just a meeting for drinks or lunch... we'll see!

roy, that is priceless. I wish I could have seen their faces.

Happy group! Great story Roy!
6.1 easy miles at 9 min/mile pace at avg. HR 137.
I really gotta get myself in some races. My easy/recovery pace at low HR is going down quickly. MP feels easy right now.
D-Day everyone. Back up those running logs!

That group looks too young to be considered "boomers"!
Nice story, Roy!
I was reading that Canadian Betty Jean McHugh set a world record for the 80-85 age group at the Honolulu Marathon last weekend with a time of 5:06:34. Time aside, it's nice to know we may still be running at 80 years old.
Late run yesterday - 7.8 mi ... 1:18:22 ... 10:03 ez pace ... 144 hr. Will get out again later this afternoon.
Have a great day everyone!
PJ
Went back and read Roy's story. Now that's funny!
Wow – I’m so happy that the forum is still here. Better post quick, before it gets shut down.

Nice picture!
Peter – glad you’re feeling good. Still, take it easy for a couple of weeks.
7 miles for me today, ave pace 9:38, which included 4 times staggering up and over my Big Hill, in a breezy 39 degrees.
Happy Wednesday!

Everyone should know that the Beers really are that great-looking a couple. As for that shot of me... I hope it doesn't make this site come crashing down for several days.
2.5 easy miles along something called the Custis Trail, which is actually an asphalt path next to an interstate highway. But it had its moments. A bamboo grove in Virginiawho knew?

Off to more meetings, then home tonight.

--
Good Morning, Boomers!
I didn't think that the forum would still be functional this morning. Yippeee!
Roy -great story!
DH - you old softie! That's why we love you - macho and softie rolled into one package - it doesn't get any better than that!
SteveP - beautiful grandbaby, but kind of reminds me of one of those ink blot tests. I never did get the hang of reading ultrasound images. Nice kitty picture as well.
Jesse had her second round of puppy vaccinations last night. She's gained the 5 pounds that I've lost.
It's cookin' in Connecticut this morning. 50 degrees - shorts and short sleeve weather. 7.35 miles at 9:20 average pace - heavenly!!!
Good runs to all!!
