Re: The transition from CR's viewpoint
I was wondering when LR4F would get in the mix. Now it should get interesting!

Re: The transition from CR's viewpoint

Well, then I just don't understand. I see no place to select my shoes, although I see info about them (imported from CR) elsewhere. Perhaps this just goes to my comment about it being counterintuitive. And SLOW! I have to go through page after page of options and logins, etc. just to put in a simple work out. Under CR, I was able to put in my entire run in less then a couple minutes, including the route, the time of day, HR info, body weight, comments, mileage, time, shoes, etc. Now, I have to press enter after selecting just the sport chosen...

Based upon the time it takes to get through posting, I don't really want to use this log, even if it is better than I have given it credit for being...

Re: The transition from CR's viewpoint

Thanks, Dave. It really does help to know you and Kevin are onboard with this very rocky transition.

I've been in touch with the support folks about my difficulties and found them to be very professional and courteous. Unfortunately, the window for resolution of my problem was 24 to 72 hours. Not terribly reassuring but we'll see how it goes.

Apart from the technical issues, which we understand are legion, the heavy-handed, stealth moderating on this particular board really needs to stop. We don't who the moderators are or how to reach them. Clearly, they have absolutely no understanding of the Clubhouse. At CR, we had a link to a name and an email address. Here we just don't know who they are and they don't know us. The censoring and the banning are extreme reactions from people who don't understand the CR culture. It would behoove the folks at Active to remember that we're customers of their web site. Customers vote with their feet, so to speak. If Active can't satisfy us, Active will lose customers. A pretty simple business equation.

Thank you for considering our feedback.

I'm sure they have a financial interest in the success of the transition. Otherwise you would not be hearing from them.

Well, yeah.

Thanks for stating the obvious, LR4F.

The obvious is what most CHers don't see so consider it "no problem".

With all due respect, Dave, any of our CH moderators (Sully, Maven, Suesquatch) could have handled the "high-test camaraderie" singlehandedly, with no assist whatsoever from the technically talented folks at Active.

If there's any way you can get our own mods back in place in this place, that would be a real boon.

Would it also be possible to get a do-over for "Antagonist77" from his ban, please. He's a sassy-mouthed knuckle-dragger, to be sure. But he's our sassy-mouthed knuckle-dragger and we'd like him back.

I don't think there should be a problem with the involvement of an Online Manager or anyone invested in this site. I know there will be confusion with different styles of intervention, but isn't there always potential for confusion? Rules are enforced differently in different forums, there are differences between moderators and supermods, and even between different supermods. Maybe there's another layer of confusion, but I think everyone has the potential to adapt to any changes in the way things are managed here.

Re: The transition from CR's viewpoint
What strikes me as odd is why on earth would a business pay ppl to monitor or moderate a message board? Where is the possible profit in that? I seriously doubt that anyone here is willing to pay ppl to moderate them. In fact, from what I've seen so far, the moderation has had the opposite effect..ppl are pledging to withhold their money from active. So can anyone tell me what sense it makes from a business standpoint to pay your own employees to drive away their customer base?
