Re: twin cities
I'm in, also in wave 1 - maybe we should have a party before the race starts :-)

Has anyone here who's run Twin Cities also run Baltimore? I ran that one 2 years ago and it was tough (mostly uphill from 16 - 23) but fair. I'm looking for a comparison between the two.

Re: twin cities
I'm officially in, I guess.

Training is going well, laying down my fastest times ever on the track. But that can be meaningless if not race-proven. They are not races, just workouts. A 5k this week will let me know where I stand, though run on tired legs. It's training!

12 weeks? I think so.

Train early, train often,

d.

I'm thinking Monticello. Though not pre-registered.

Then the Lumberjack days 5k (no, not 10 miles, I'm trying to build some speed here, folks.)

and then it would be nice to see if I can improve my mile on the Rice Street the week after that.

Then we'll hit more strength-endurance work, and hopefully pop a nice TCM. Really came through Grandma's right on track, so now I just need to stay off the bench (Sometimes difficult!), and stick with the program.

Re: twin cities
well, now - how am I supposed to get my voyeuristic fix if no one will post their training and such? My own training is seeminly going really great, but who can tell? I'll know more in a few weeks. Dull, dull, dull, just a lot of running in this nice weather, eh? That's about how I feel. I'm ready for August. It's the best summer month.
