AUSTIN 2008! Keep it Wierd

Who out there is going or has run this course before?!?!?! LALALA I am hyper.

I ran the new course (full) last year and intend to run it again in Feb. but I haven't registered yet.

I'll be there. We just started the San Antonio Fit program that trains for this specific race (both full and half programs).

Anyway, have never run Austin but am looking forward to it. Will be my 8th Marathon.

Are you asking about the marathon in 2/2008 or the Keep Austin Weird 5K?

I will be there for the marathon. Hopefully it is the same course as last year.

I got 5 other bunco members to join me this year. We are trying to design our "wierd" shirts but they will likely be pink shirts that say "Drunco Bunco" on the front and our names on the back.

I forgot that there are other races in Austin. My post refers to the 2007 and 2008 AT&T Austin Marathons.

After the 2007 marathon, I posted a runner comment on the Marathonguide.com site using the title "New Austin course is weirdly wonderful". For some reason, the editor changed the term "weirdly" to "oddly". I guess they don't understand about Austin's reputation.
