Des Moines Marathon -- 10/21/07

So, I know that my running club has a large crew heading down for this.

Just me and you. What weather station are you looking at? Accuweather is reporting(today anyway) 57/71 and windy.

This morning was predicting 49/60 -- now 50/66.

Just nothing like TCM!!!

Give me a chance to run -- that's all I ask...

Leaving at 8 Sat. morning. Staying at the Renassaince supposed to be right at the start and finish. Went pheasant hunting last weekend. Walked for 9 hours Sat. and 5 Sun. Some weird muscles hurt on Monday. Hope that doesn't affect the run. Otherwise things are good.

Renassaince is VERY convenient. I stayed there two years ago.

You staying Sunday night or heading home? Either way, we should talk before/after the race...

GOOD LUCK! I ran Des Moines last year and loved it. I too stayed at the Renaissance. It was extremely convenient - the start and finish are right outside the door. The rooms are tiny, but the beds are very comfy. Have a great time - I wish I was running it!

I will look for you at the start. You will have to wait for me at the finish. Is your buddy Brian running? Right now I'm heading home Sun. I do have Monday off though. The Fam is coming with so no after party for me.

Brian got injured after Great River and is running the half (not sure if he is racing...

We have a large contingent down there.

I am staying at the Embasssy Suites -- Saturday to Monday. You know the name. Give me a call if you have time to get together...
