really short update. I think i ran close to 60 miles yesterday! ack! It was survival of the fittest for the 50 miler yesterday. Almost 60 runners were registered, 28 finished. By default i was 4th female overall (out of 4!) it is funny that i am on the leaderboard with my less than impressive finish time of just under 13 hours. I heard it was 98 or 100 with tons of humidity. The heat did not bother me as much as incompetant aid station people and poorly marked trails. lost of getting lost. It sucked. And iwas definitely not the only getting lost. I saw TIm a few times out there and he was looking great and running pretty far up front. I ran out of water several times and after the last aid station, they barely filled my camelbak up and i was out of water for the last 1.5 hours

merigayle, I second that. I think around mile 40. I asked which way to go straight or right. The person maning the intersection pointed straight then changed her mind then pointed left.....Then changed her mind and pointed right. hahahhah! eeenie meeeenie minnnnie moe......I chose right and happened to guess right. hahahah! More to come when I write up a report. Only tip of the iceberg.

I scaled through patches of poison ivy on the side of an almost cliff, screaming at the top of my lungs waiting for a runner to call back so I could go where they were calling from.

more to come, sigh

i will have a race report later today or tomorrow. maybe today cause i am bored.
I am going to second guess ever doing and inaugural race again! ACK! I got very lost on that 22 miles (25+?) out and back and i was with this man and woman and the poor woman (who was much shorter than myself) had to climb over this big downed tree and her legs cramped up! we decided to just walk towards the water, because the trail was near the water. ack. Some of the 50K leaders passed me on that section, and then a while later, came up from behind me again. they got VERY lost.

Just looked at the results and not sure ultrarunner1 finished
