I'm not sure how to take this question . . . . . .
FEET
, I'm talkin'
feet !
!http://www.coolrunning.com/forums/biggrin.gif|src=http://www.coolrunning.com/forums/biggrin.gif|border=0!I have no experience with calluses and very little with blisters.
I have always
lubed on runs longer than a couple hours.
That seems to work for me. Hopefully the foot book will have
some specific refererences to your callus/blister problem.
If you are a member of the ultraserve list there are some very
experienced runners who could probably help you more.

I hope you enjoy your time in NYS, the weather has been pretty nice for
this time of year. Based on what you have posted here re your running experience a couple trails do come to mind.
Green Lakes State Park
in Fayetteville, NY which is just SE of Syracuse. There is a very nice loop around the lakes, seems like it would be perfect for You ! I think its just about 3miles. A very lovely run and not too isolated if that's an issue for you. You can add on to that by heading up into the hills. There you will find some single track and a little more technical trail running but
not too hard.
If you do some poking around in the Finger Lakes check out
Fillmore Glen State Park
located in Moravia , NY which is at the bottom of Owasco Lake SW of Syracuse but not too far really. From the website -
" . . . an oasis of cool, dense woods crowding into a long, narrow gorge. Its hiking trails offer spectacular views, unique geological formations, including five waterfalls, and a botanically rich glen." It's a great trail !
If you are interested in more technical stuff there is the Finger Lakes Trail which runs all through the area. Its great running. You can probably get more info on that from the Finger Lakes Running Club website.
If there is a specific area you are going to lmk and i will see if i have anything for You. I am not familiar with the Watertown area though.
Have fun, I'll be looking fwd to hearing all about it !!
