GE vs other corporations - McNaughton Park in April 2008?

GE runners, let me know if are doing the McNaughton Park Trail Run on April 11th - either the 50, 100 or 150 (me) mile versions. I posted an event listing on the GE Runners Page (contact me for the link if you don't know what it is and I'll email it to you). Hope to see you there (and hopefully take on other corporate challengers!).

Non-GE runners - do you have enough runners for a corporate team to take on the GE ultra team? I think it would be great to have a 'corporate challenge' ultra like they do for other track & field distances and events! There is the Austin TX marathon corporate challenge in February, I'm hoping this McNP ultra (since it is centrally located in the US) could be the ultra version of the marathon corporate challenge!

The Haliburton Team will only compete if the race director guarantees that they will win. The Enron team stopped competing a few years back because there were conflicting reports on how they calculated their finishing times. It was thought that the Arthur Anderson team was helping them calculate their scores, but it turns out that everyone was wrong. Microsoft has a team, but they never let any other teams run the races. No one ever knows which races the AT&T team is running because they always run under different names. The Exxon-Mobile team is terrible to run against because they leave their GU wrappers all over the course (they also manage to get the race director to pay THEM to run). The General Motors team used to be huge, but now they just have a few runners left. The Kmart team and Sears team banded together because they always came in DFL?now their combined team finishes DFL.

ErieTom: a buddy of mine works for GE in Eerie (initials are AE), he paced me when I ran The Laurel Highlands Trail back in '04. I highly doubt he'd be up for McNaughton.

I work for one of the corporations craftily spoofed by The Professor. I ran McNaughton in '06, and am thinking, albeit slightly, about running it again in '08. Does one person count as a corporate team?

Tom... will you count Team Sherpa as a Team? I know we'll have me and maybe another there for the 150.

Another GE person here. Good to see others out there. I won't be running this as its just after ING Georgia (I'm in Alpharetta now) and a bit beyond my distance - nothing beyond 20 mi on trail yet. Maybe a 50k later in '08. Just thought I'd say hi and good luck!
