Do I really have to pick one place? If I had to pick one place, it would probably be to visit a good friend in Germany.

Then there's the Galapagos. And Easter Island. Bhutan. I want to ride the horses in Mongolia and Spain. I want to go to the Keys and adopt a Hemingway cat. Mexico would be fun. Next summer I'll be kayaking with the whales in Quebec.

I'd like to do ecotourism, where I go and volunteer for something like help comb the beach for baby turtles:

Me? I've been longing for a trip to Hawaii for some time now, but we're saving for a house.

Non stop! I was just about to recommend that you fly to almost anyplace in Europe and then, use a budget airline to get to paris. It is a pain, but sometimes can save a ton of money.

$536 RT on Air India from Newark to Paris. Are you picky about the airline?

I flew Air India last winter from Chicago to London and back, and was quite impressed. Best airline meal I've ever had, but then I like Indian food. I would fly with them again with no hesitation.

Ha, I looked into Air India! Their prices are cheap! I read reviews and some didn't seem too bad, but others warned to stay away! I'm not too picky, I could deal with it, but the beau is not as easy going as I. Our desire to go non-stop was fueled by our recent multi-leg journey back from Greece, which was quite an ordeal. And, we're only going for a week so want to spend as much time at our destination as possible. But with prices as they are for non-stop, if we do go, it will most likely involve a stop somewhere.

I was joking more or less. I have flown airlines from many different countries, and usually it is a better experience than the American airlines. The only one I habitually stay away from is Air Italia.
