That is a great place to shop. Honestly, I'm open to anything but Road Runner Sports.

I am wondering, too, why you say no RRS? I recently placed an order with them and was very happy with my purchase.

Re: favorite online store for running gear...
I don't like RRS because of some of the policies they have (and have had) in place. They used to charge a flat rate for shipping. It didn't go based on what your purchased, but probably quantity or something like that....so shipping a pair of socks was the same price as shipping a pair of shoes....and it wasn't cheap.

I recently tried to place an order by phone. I came to find out that shipping would cost me more if I ordered by phone than over the internet. I can understand possible reasons for this to be, but I don't agree with it. It should be the same price for everyone.

Finally, their prices are horrible. They try to rope you into their annual plan to make things cheaper, but it's still way too much. If I'm going to purchase something online and not support my local running shop, you'd better believe I'm going to pay as litttle as I can. Holabird sports and runningwarehouse typically have shoe prices that are $20 cheaper for the models I wear.

...whew, that felt good.

Re: favorite online store for running gear...
zombierunner.com has a mostly ultra trail runner bias but if you can find what you are looking for there, it's great. For example, Race Ready shorts are the same price there as other websites but their shipping is cheaper and you can usually find an online coupon code to apply. So you can generally save $3 to $4.

I'll second the recommendation for holabirdsports.com. I just ordered some new shoes (asics 2120) from there, and it turned out they were out of stock. I selected a different color scheme and they gave me 10% off for my trouble. They also arrived within a week, even with the change.

RnJ Sports is good. Often best prices and free shipping on orders over $65.

...and I'll second ZombieRunner.com. They have wonderful customer service. Several months ago I was looking for a pack that they didn't carry (but they did carry that brand). They were glad to order some of what I was looking for and I got it in a timely fashion.

Re: favorite online store for running gear...
Oh I reread the OP. I have NEVER had sierratradingpost ship fast. Even when they say they do -- it has always taken weeks to get my stuff. A big hassle. So, you might not want to order from them if you need it ASAP.

I have found that suppliers are using a sucky method to ship. They send it out UPS air to a US Post Office portal in a big city. It gets to USPO really fast but once they get it, it takes FOREVER.

STP is not the only supplier using this method and hopefully it will end soon since it really isn't very successful. I'm sure they save money this way but STP has lost some of my business if I need something quicker. Too Bad, too~
