I am wondering, too, why you say no RRS? I recently placed an order with them and was very happy with my purchase.

I don't like RRS because of some of the policies they have (and have had) in place. They used to charge a flat rate for shipping. It didn't go based on what your purchased, but probably quantity or something like that....so shipping a pair of socks was the same price as shipping a pair of shoes....and it wasn't cheap.

I recently tried to place an order by phone. I came to find out that shipping would cost me more if I ordered by phone than over the internet. I can understand possible reasons for this to be, but I don't agree with it. It should be the same price for everyone.

Finally, their prices are horrible. They try to rope you into their annual plan to make things cheaper, but it's still way too much. If I'm going to purchase something online and not support my local running shop, you'd better believe I'm going to pay as litttle as I can. Holabird sports and runningwarehouse typically have shoe prices that are $20 cheaper for the models I wear.

...whew, that felt good.

zombierunner.com has a mostly ultra trail runner bias but if you can find what you are looking for there, it's great. For example, Race Ready shorts are the same price there as other websites but their shipping is cheaper and you can usually find an online coupon code to apply. So you can generally save $3 to $4.

RnJ Sports is good. Often best prices and free shipping on orders over $65.

They always have top name stuff for really great prices! If you check often, you will stay on top of their sales. I've bought most of my running stuff from them.

Also, if you google "sierratradingpost: free ship" -- you will usually come up with a code and the answer to a question that will give you free shipping.

Apparently, in their catalogs, they ask a question somewhere inside. If you answer the question correctly, they give you free shipping. So there is a code you use and you put in in the keycode box. Then you put the answer to the question in the comments box in the order form. When you checkout, it still shows you paying shipping but the next day they send you an email stating that you got the answer correct and then they delete the shipping. I think it has always worked for me but sometimes people post that they didn't get it. Worth a try.

I also like Race Ready shorts. You can go to their site www.raceready.com[/URL" target="_blank"> or the above poster said a different site gives better shipping.

When you order online it is all about the shipping and handling costs -- at least it is for me. I mean, after you find the great deal!

I always get my stuff from running shops, have never heard of any of these online stores, but I think I will check some of them out..
