Hoping to find a 5k in about a month in a half. Doing the Bayshore in May, not sure if I am doing the half or 10k yet.

Re: What is/are your upcoming event(s)?
11 March Hastings Half
25 March Brentwood Half
22 April Flora London Marathon

Might slip in a couple of 10ks between now and the Marathon.

After this marathon - my 2nd - my max distance will be half marathons. I also hope to give an olympic distance tri a go next year as well as doing Lands End to John O'Groats on my bike.

Size is no impediment if you really want to do it.

Re: What is/are your upcoming event(s)?
lethalracegal, do you the website or more info for the half in Santa Cruz?

SLOjim, good luck this weekend. I did that race 2 years ago and it was very very windy. Great course along the coast. I'd like to do it again sometime when the weather is more cooperative.

Re: What is/are your upcoming event(s)?
So far this year I've run the Fred Lebow 5 miler and the Manhattan 1/2 marathon in Central Park. I'm running the Gridiron 4 miler on Sunday and the Bronx 1/2 the following Sunday.

Looking ahead, I plan on running the Colon Cancer race (usually a 4 miler) in March (the inagural race was my first ever race in 2004) and the More 1/2 in March, the Brooklyn 1/2 in April.

I'd like to run the Flying Pig half in Cincinnati in May, but that isn't final.

Generally, I try to run two NYRR races each month. I'm concentrating on 1/2 marathons this year.

My big goal for the year is the Bayshore as well. I want to do a full marathon at least once in my life. In Feb. There's the "Snow Monkey" snow shoe race just out side Traverse City, Michigan. It's a good time and quite a work out.
