Re: Workout report for Wed. April 4.
I was scheduled to do speedwork this morning. I really didn't feel up to it: then it started to rain. I figured I'd use today as my rest day instead of Friday. I took my running stuff to work just in case, and ended up doing tomorrow's 3 mile run today at lunch. Tomorrow I need to do some speedwork then.

Way to go Eric. We could tell you've been working hard. I didn't have any idea as to how hard. You deserve a lot of credit.

Unscedualed rest day for Stevie today. We're getting lake affect snow and the darn lake is nearly 30 miles away. White out conditions. April Plowers raise May taxes.

Re: Workout report for Wed. April 4.
8 miles on the TM in 1:23:35. I did 5 - 1/2 mile intervals at 9:30 pace, the rest was 10:30-10:50 pace. Good run, although I start to irritated at the TM after about 5 miles, the last 3 are a mental game for me! I would much rather be outside, but the kids are at home on Spring Break and not old enough to stay at home alone!

Re: Workout report for Wed. April 4.
The abs diet is a diet that is being touted as the next best thing by mens health i think its because the editor is the author.

yes i am doing the atkins now. My thinking is screw the experts do what works for you. i have never starved on it. I know i couldnt stay on it forever though and the abs diet is somethingto try for the summer until august. Then in august i am eating normal for 2 weeks and restarting the atkins until sept 30.My goal is to race my 15k race sept 30th at 220 lbs.

btw on atkins my cholestrol is below 200 again down to 191
hdl 35 ldl 139 glucose 94 and my triglycerises(sp) 84 or 184 i cant read my writing.

Eric, I am a confirmed Atkins believer....I ran my last half marathon on a daily average of 60 carbs. it can be done. You just don't eat junk on it.
