Ok guys, on all these threads I have stop emails, on my preferences I have don't send them, I keep getting them. What's the problem here? Does anyone know? Len? I need help desperately, am I stupid?
Len doesn't know how to fix this, so let me help you On each thread that you've opened before you selected "stop e-mails," -- open that thread again and then click on the stop e-mails in the little box on the left. Any thread you opened before you selected to stop e-mails, you'll continue to get them until you select to stop in each thread. dutch omi wrote:Ok guys, on all these threads I have stop emails, on my preferences I have don't send them, I keep getting them. When you go into the threads, it should say "Receive email notifications". If it says "Stop email notifications" that means you want to get them. Click on it to toggle it to "Receive...". Makes perfect sense in a perverted sort of way. Make sure all the preferences are set to No.
OK, there are two ways to stop the emails. First, click the "stop emails" link to the left of the thread. BUT. . . Your account preferences, by default (why they did this is beyond me) sets your preferences so that you receive emails on threads you've created or responded to. To turn this off, go to My Active | Click the Edit Preferences link and then select the options for NOT sending mail messages under the Email Notification Preferences. If you do this, all future threads you post or respond to will NOT send you messages and you can optionally subscribe to only those threads you want by clicking the "Receive Email Notifications" link for that thread. MUCH better than the default behavior. I'll repost this. When you go into the threads, it should say "Receive email notifications".
