Is Chicago a lottery? And if not how fast does it close?

It wasn't a lottery 10 years ago, and I don't believe it is now. I don't think it closes lightning fast like some others.
As for the drive from Chicago to Vermont, it's more like 14-15. It went to Boston once from Chicago, but split it over 2 days. I think Chicago to Buffalo would be around 12 hours.

I am not insane, I have simply lost my mind. This is fun and enjoyable so far. I heard that Peach might be having an article or at least an interview done about her for the real runners portion of the magazine. I think that will be awesome.

I just looked and it really doesn't say anything about a lottery for registration but who knows. It does open on Feb 1st.
