You guys are such a great bunch. Trucking right along & we're all within days of finishing week four. 'Who'd a thunk it?' - LOL. I woke up this morning to the sound of wind slamming my building around. We have a flash freeze warning & trust me, it's freezing solid as I speak, a wind warning & blowing snow warning. I am NOT going out in that! The winds are 36 gusting to 45 mph right now & increasing. Now when I start serious prep for my first 5K race, I will definitely train in all conditions. After all race day weather is what it is & you never know what you'll get.
BUT - right now, stuff is flying down the street - garbage bins, recyclig boxes, small branches... anything loose. I'm generally an afternoon runner... my body seems to function best for exercise between 1100 & 1600. I am NOT going out in THAT. I could end up running in place - LOL. If the wind dies down later, I most definitely will head out. Cold is fine & snow is fine. If not, I'll reverse my sessions & do my weights today & D2 tomorrow, then D3 on Saturday. With W5D1 not being a big jump in run time, that should work.
I still feel guilty for even thinking of postponing though. Hope I do get the run in later but right now, we're already being warned of possible power failures so it must be getting even wilder. Days like this, I wish I had a treadmill. Luckily, we don't get too many days like this here.
