On a hunch I just went to the MCM website and followed the link to the forum. I half expected them to have redirected the link back to the old forum. I was starting to think maybe Active.com was just MCM's way of ditching the lot of us! Just think, somebody wants to learn about running in the MCM and they tune in to a talk about Elvis' thong or Jimmy's 26.2 miles of bald headed sexy! Can't say that I'd really blame the MCM folks if they tried to ditch us!
I tried the same thing this morning and came straight here. Actually, I think having us rattle on is good for the MCM, it attracts many more nuts and that's what you have to be to run this 26.2.
I had to dig up an old post that had the address of the old boards so I could find them again. I'm sure they were just looking for an inexpensive, stable place for the boards, and since they already started a relationship with Active (registration) it's a good fit. It wouldn't surprise me if this "community" is pretty much paid for by the registration fees (and advertising). The old boards were pretty much unmonitored and now they don't have to worry about this one either. In spite of the bad rap Active gets it seems to work OK for our purposes and we are bringing people to their site.
Somehow I'm sad about this statement I'm about to make. I have gotten used to the new board and am fine with it. I'm starting to see some of tis benefits vs our old site. I still see some of the old benefits as well. But I'm starting to like it here. I just wish they would make an unread posts filter, to help clear things up.
