I'm considering it. I want to see the new course before I shell out the money. I've heard the first 13 miles are good and the rest are awful. Maybe with the new course it'll be better.

Re: Who's running?
I'm looking forward to running the frederick 1/2 this year. My first running experience was the 2004 Frederick 4 person relay team, My sisters and I did it again the following year and in 2006 I ran the 1/2 for the first time. I loved it. I missed 2007 because I had just had a baby and will be back for the half in 2008. I can't wait for the new course to come out. I want to start running near the fair grounds to get a handle on it.
I registered for the Maryland Double, doing the half at both Frederick & Baltimore. I believe a bunch of my Team in Training friends are also doing both and my running partner should be running Frederick with me.
Corrigan Sports Enterprises (CSE) sent an email this morning about the new course. It looks like the email was sent to all people who are currently registered in the Frederick Running Festival. The email said that the new course is still under review and will be discussed by Frederick city representatives on February 21. Here is a link to the Frederick NewsPost article about the new course:

The other thing which was interesting in CSE's email was that the finisher's premium is very much upgraded. In previous years you received a cotton "Finisher" T-shirt if you actually finished the marathon. This year it looks like the finisher's premium will be a microfiber windbreaker jacket, results CD and finisher's certificate.
Thanks, I received the email this morning too. Kind of ironic that the day after I posted they sent out info about the course. The finishers premium sounds really nice too, all the more incentive to go out and run when its 30 degrees haha.
