Okay im training for track season and the bay to breakers 12k im gonna run with my dad. Track is in April and the 12k is in late may. I run the 1500 and 3000 in track and have been running for about a year and a half
Im a 13 year old girl and curently my mile is 7:15 and my 3 mile 22:00.
I am thinking of running a mile and 2 mile (for time) on mondays and fridays and run 4 miles (for enderences) on tuesday, wednesday, and thursdays. Then next month ill step it up to 5 miles instead of 4.
does that sound smart if i want to eventually get a 6 ish mile, 14 min. 3000, and finish my first 12k in under an hour?

Right now (assuming you are not running indoor track) you should be in a "buildup" phase. So doing a double twice a week is not a good idea. Once a week run either a mile or 2mile, but not both for time (you can alternate the distance each week). Also, only run it about 85-90% effort. By running a tempo run once a week, you now have a day to run a bit longer, perhaps five or six miles instead of a second time trial.
If you meant a 1 mile timed run on Monday and a 2 mile timed run on Friday, then that sounds like a decent schedule. If you meant you'd do a 1 mile timed run in the morning and a 2 mile timed run in the evening on Monday and Friday, then that would not be fine at all.
Make sure you warmup before the timed runs and like Richard said, don't go full out.
