Thinking of visiting California this summer and including the San Francisco Marathon in our plans. Obviously its a long way from home in England so would welcome any comments from those who have run it. Particularly on what the weather is like and what to wear especially crossing the Golden Gate Bridge. We could be staying with Friends in Moss Beach so how easy is it to get to the start for 5.00 in the morning? Knowing from the movies how hilly San Fran is will I leave my heart there on a resus trolley or is it not that hilly. Any hints etc. much appreciated.
Not a marathon virgin as I have done London four times in times of between 3.43 and 4.18 and Halves at between 1.32 and 1.45 over the years. But want to get some international races in before I get too old to enjoy them.
