Only in America! Only in America would one get 6 pages of response to a question about nakedness! Some of people who responded can not even get naked in the shower room so deep is there phobia. Most Europeans would not give it a second thought. A good many of them go to nude beaches - often as families.

Why be so ashamed of your own body? Why be so uneasy around other bodies? Seeing or being naked will not hurt anyone (unless it's where you can get arrested or where it's too cold). Sit on a towel for hygenic reasons.

If your one of the people too shy to be seen - get over it! That kind of phobia is not natural or healthy.

I've enjoyed reading this thread, but I notice that some people use the word "naked" and others "nekked".

As I understand it, "nekked" means "naked with something in mind".
