Hey, I used to be Pentecostal. But they just like to get freaky in the aisle, speak in tongues and got to church for weeks straight. I need something a bit more tame. I was traumatized!

Great Indian food, delivered, the old catholic guilt has not had it's hold on me tonite. After cooking for the little unit, cleaning out some cupboards, watering plants, take out was warranted. Spicy and delicious.

I roasted a turkey breast, steamed some frozen peas and mushrooms, and cut up some fresh strawberries. It was the least I could do after nachos and hot dogs from the concession stand for dinner last night...
Oh, and a couple of bourbons and diet Coke

jimmy...what does the bride mind when you bring a brew to the table? easy to do with young ones around...as they turn to teens, be careful of the example you set. now i like a brew with the best of them, and will occasionally drink one with pizza on saturday night...it seems like a pre-occupation...heck what do i know...i'm just saying...
it was tough at the conference i just returned from...every where i turned there was alcohol...
Jerry,
Liz does not care because I always put it in a glass. My children get what I feel is one of the best examples in drinking adult beverages. I never have more then 2 and never drive after having them. I teach them that as they follow the rules then you can partake and enjoy life. My children have never seen me intoxicated to the point where I could not legally drive but then it goes back to the fact that no matter how unintoxicated I appear I a never drive after having even 2 beers. I have a long line of alcoholics in the family and my kids know that those individuals are dumb for the way they drink. By the way my kiddos are not youngsters they are 12, 9 and 7 and need to be influenced and taught how to live life within the limits of the law. Other then maybe twice I never drank before I turned 21 and I am fine now. Beer, Wine, Champagne it is all allowed at my table with dinner.

Hey Jimmy, how big is the glass?

Jerry glad you are back in full force. My glass is a pint sized glass that holds a bottle of any respectable beer perfectly. I am glad that you can sense my feelings through my writing!

Hey, Jimmy, I'm with you. We've always drank around our kids, but never more than a couple of drinks and never drive after drinking them, no falling down, getting wasted, yelling and fighting or any silliness like that. My older kids, now 20 and 21, seldom drink and drink responsibly when/if they do. Both NEVER drive afterwards and are pretty disgusted at their drink-till-you-puke young adult friends who have no idea what enjoying in moderation means. Personally I think you're setting a good example.
