Elite Racing quest for the bling!

OK, so there I was at the Shamrock expo and I saw the display of all the special bling you can get for running the Elite Racing series events. They include the Rock & Roll races as well as the CMM and the Philly Distance Run. And depending on the combination of races you run, you get extra medals.

So I was thinking (not a good thing when it comes to race scheduling. . . ) I have nothing in September. . . so Philly is likely. I have nothing in November except maybe Richmond. . . so I might run San Antonio. That would be 4 races from the series and would net me 5 extra medals (39.3, Silver Note, Beach to Bell, Dynamic Duet, and the Triple Crown Award.)

Jerry people have told me that I am crazy and I plan on running CMM, RNR SAn Diego, And very likely San Antonio so there you haver it. You are crazy.

I'm running The RnR in San Antonio! I'm not sure I'm doing the full tho cause it's only 3 weeks after the MCM. I plan to just do 2 fulls in a year

When's San Antonio? Three weeks after MCM? Holy cow. I'll come run the half with you, Kevyn, if Jerry and Jimmy are going to be there. San Antonio's a fun city!

I love San Antonio! It's gonna be a good run. I think it's either Nov 16 or 17. We could all stay on the riverwalk! I know some great places to go eat down there!

At some point, we can just all leave our families and start a running commune, get a big van and drive around from race to race

3 weeks, really? Hmmm.... that won't leave much time to train.

If I fly down there, book a hotel, and rent a car, I'm going to have to run the full marathon. . . won't be looking for a PR though. Just a good time.

It's only 7 weeks or so before the Goofy Challenge. Seems like good training. Plus I've never been to San Antonio.

If we get a couple of converted school buses we can bring the families along for the ride. We can stop at wal-marts and stand out front soliciting money along the way. We can also get all the credit we can all muster and max out the cards. Once we have our credit ruined and a huge debt incurred we can ask for forgiveness. Sounds like fun.LOL

I am sure we can get The North Face on board for a sponsor as well as some energy drink of some sort. Subway maybe to provide us some good food, and maybe just maybe Asics since we all have a shoe we are willing to wear in their arsenal.
