Thanks Craig. I'm in the slow corral, spelled p-u-r-p-l-e. I'm going to write something on my calves, but there won't be anyone behind me to read it!
Hey Staving. I'll keep a look out for you if I see someone with stuff written on their calves I'll cheer!!

I'm in and there may be blossoms after all. Someone told the me the Tidal Basin cherry trees are a different kind from the ones I saw blooming last week and those haven't bloomed yet. I will try not to pee on any monuments. I saw the stuff about the color coded corrals, but didn't see where it said which one I'm in. Where did you find that Jerry?
On mine, they gave me a bib number near the address...then there is a guide that tells which bib numbers are in which corrals...the bib numbers are based on times you have run in prior 10 mile races...i'm in the red corral.

I for one do promise to wear Straws on back and front of shirt.
I'm open to suggestions on meeting at a pub of some sort afterwards...i'm not a regular pub type, but i will go with the crowd should someone make a suggestion.

Sounds like fun, but after milling around the finish area for a bit, my post-race celebration will be hotel, shower, drive four hours... woo hoo! I'm just livin' the life! Potentially scary part is, I'll be totally happy. Besides the time crunch, somehow throwing "drinking" before "driving" doesn't sound like the best of ideas anyway.

I'll be trying to get a 20 miler in on Sunday. Mt. Vernon Trail. I hope that goes better than last weekend!

I am in for the Cherry Blossom - this is my favorite race!! Haines Point killed me in the marathon so I am looking forward to the new CB route so I can crush Haines Point. So I will be the one running down the Haines Point area giving it the double barrells.

I am in for the Cherry Blossom - this is my favorite race!! Haines Point killed me in the marathon so I am looking forward to the new CB route so I can crush Haines Point. So I will be the one running down the Haines Point area giving it the double barrells.
I love that attitude! I'm going to run so fast through Haines Point that I won't remember it! 
I think the Awakening is still there but scheduled to be moved at or before MCM this year. Wave as you go by.

Nope, sorry to say they carted The Awakening away a month ago. I haven't run Haines Point since. I'll miss it.

So, as I stated in the other thread, due to my car I won't be going to DC this weekend...but I will still be at the Cherry Blossum! Now I'm going to echo an earlier post here...what pub we going to???
