Why Coolrunning and Running - Two separate communities?

Why does Active maintain two separate running communities? Why not bring them together?

Most of the forums from coolrunning are now dead - you did a good job of killing off the community you purchased.

Why not pull them together now?

Why do you keep the coolrunning.com interface alive? You killed the log - you moved the communities into this interface - why keep the shell of coolrunning around with the training programs and news and other misc tools?

Hey. Well, the reason why we have two communities is because we were trying to create a home for Cool Running and I know it isn't the same home, but we are working with moderators and everyone else who wants to help give their feedback to make it a place where Cool Running users feel comfortable. I realize many of them have left but there are still many around with numerous members checking in from time to time even though they use other sites. I can't beg for people to come back, but what I can do is try to answer feedback and get suggestions as to how to make things better and keep making improvements in the hopes that people might come back. It's their choice, but I'm willing to hear any and all suggestions if you would like to share them.
Thanks,
Sara

I know and I'm sorry.

Things we have done thus far based on CR feedback....

General:
  1. We have improved the navigation between forums by adding a dropdown menu that makes jumping from forum to forum easier.
  2. We are in the process of fully integrating the Search functionality into the forum and it should be operational by the end of this week.
  3. We have added an Overview tab so you can view the most recent posts and replies from across all CR forums.
  4. We corrected a bug in the email notification system. You will now get email notifications only from the threads you participate in. You can disable all future notifications from your My Active account preferences, but must stop current notifications by going to the specific thread.
  5. We've put links to the mods in their given forums.

Active Trainer:
  1. Run a report longer than 7 days.
  2. Add activities, like Yoga and Elliptical Training.
  3. Display total shoe mileage for all shoes and report on total shoe mileage for specific shoes.
  4. Add and Log a workout in one single instance.
  5. Activity Odometer that displays total distance/duration for the month.

We are working on getting the 'Remember Me' login feature up and running, but I don't have an exact date.

We can't bring the log back, but please let me know what you would like to see happen or changed?

Thanks.

Could you tell me how to get from the main Active page to the Cool Running page? I have not been able to figure out how to navigate over there. I have the old Cool Running site bookmarked. I click on it and get to the Cool Running page. But as soon as I try and search for something (which is futile), I end up on Active and cannot get back to Cool Running. As a matter of fact, I can't find my way back there right now!

Absolutely. There is a Browse drop down menu with a Cool Running link (it's alphabetical). From anywhere on active you will be able to use this and get back to Cool Running.
