Anyone pregnant and running?

I just found out that I'm pregnant with #2 - and we're so excited! However, i'd like to keep running as long as possible. Any one else out there pregnant and running? I could use the motivation from other pregnant runners! :)

Re: Anyone pregnant and running?
You need to listen to your body. It all depends. No one can predict how it's going to go for you. You can keep running for a time, but how long depends on many different factors.

Re: Anyone pregnant and running?

Congrats to you! Many women run throughout their entire pregnancy - just tell your OB that you are doing it. He or she may tell you to hold back after a while, but I say keep at it. Since this is #2 for you, you probably know not to do anything more than what you are used to doing. I agree with the above post, listen to your body.

Last year I was into W4 of OHR when I found out I was pregnant w/ #2... that same day, I went out for a run - and about 15 minutes into the jog - I went into slow motion (seriously) and had to stop. I felt my body slow down like the way a CD player slowly loses power and the music gets streched out and sounds funny. Ha ha! The next day, I started throwing up everywhere and running was the last thing on my mind. A couple months later, I found out I was preggo w/ twins.

Good luck to you, I hope you are able to exercise thru the entire pregnancy - it's a great thing for you and baby!!! Congrats again!

Re: Anyone pregnant and running?
My wifey is pregnant - found out during W4 of our C25K... she held off until she could go to her doctor visit, because several online sites recommend keeping heart rate <140 bpm. Her doctor after taking her medical history, check-up, etc said she could continue with <160 bpm. (Hopefully those numbers keep coming down as we run more!!) We're back on the program, and she's doing great... we go a little slower on the uphill portions, but otherwise she's a trouper.
