Fresh new kicks!!

I took a picture of my new kicks last night because they'll never look the same again.

They're beautiful, aren't they? :)

Your yellow ones match your commute :) Yes, the shoes are very shiny and I would kill for a commute like that! It would sure get me running a lot more!! I got new shoes last Friday and I can't believe how amazing they feel on my feet. One of the perks of being a runner!

All right, Toby! You're confirming the comment on the How-long-is-a-long-run thread that planning to change shoes and socks during an event qualifies it as "long."

As long as he's not wearing completely THROUGH a pair of shoes on the long run! Now THAT would be a long run!

Re: Fresh new kicks!!

Toby,

Favor por favor. Is there a way you could pick me up one of those tickets? I would love to go and seeing as how I will be in town I don't see how I could pass this up. I can get you the money in advance. Let me know if you can. Thanks

Jimmy

Re: Fresh new kicks!!
Toby - nice new kicks, dood!

I also just bought a new pair a couple days ago. I went into the running store where I bought my last pair (that I used in MCM 2007) and went over and said I'd like another pair. Mizuno Waverider 10's. Same size, same pair, etc....easiest sale in the sale associate's life, I'm sure. I was out of the store about 2 minutes later. Hey, if it's not broken, don't try and fix it, right? The shoes worked last year so I'm sure this pair will do the job as well.

I tried them for the first time 2 days ago on the treadmill and all feels fine. You can definitely feel the new grip that new shoes have.

Also - regarding the running path, that is pretty sweet man. I run on a nice paved path in the woods of Reston, VA....usually see a couple deer along the way, I'm looking forward to it since last year I lived in Silver Spring, MD and literally ran around my apartment complex's parking lot each night for any run that was 8 miles or less. It was a 0.65-mi loop, so it wasn't too bad (despite dodging cars and ignoring the look of perplexed onlookers) and my long runs on Saturdays I did on a local path in the woods (Sligo Creek, for anyone who knows the area). Anyway, I've already gone on too many tangents and I'm sure you all are drooling on your keyboards from boredom by now so I'll shut up.

Oh yeah...insert obligatory flirtatious line for the ladies here. ;)
