Now an Olympian, Caitlin Lowe had a rough day one game in college for the Arizona Wildcats. Commendably going all out for a shot in the gap, she runs face-first into the wall. The video seems to have a short section of slow motion, but if you move past it you can see several zoomed in replays.
My question--why no warning track??
WOW..thats pretty intense
There should definitely be a warning track! These girls play hard. I'm sure the Arizona softball program has the means to make it happen to give outfielders in the future a little heads up before they face plant into the wall going all out.
OUCH! They need to find a way to avoid these type of injuries. Make the padding thicker or smt.
The wall just came out of no where.
Ouch!
