Torn ligament

My daughter tore a ligament in her right elbow. I don't expect that she will be able to return to her high school team, but will she be OK for summer ball?

I'm not rushing her, just wondering what others experience has been with this injury. When she is ready to start back, what kind of exercise should she start with?

Re: Torn ligament
I'm not sure how long before rehab will begin or how long recovery will take in total... but the exercises will work to gradually increase range of motion and will also add weight VERY slowly. I've heard even by the ounce.

Re: Torn ligament
I've torn my ACL and rehab took a full year. As much as I ached to play I was glad I waited the full recorvery term to regain my range of motion and strength. I'd stick to physical therapy and home excercises and play when it felt good again. Nothing worse to the ego than re-injuring a recovering injury.

Re: Torn ligament

Torn ACL's are life changing. They were for 2 of my friends although they recovered through rehab.
