Does anyone have a favorite ball park?

I would have to say mine is the home of the Philadelphia Phillies, Citizen's Bank Park. It's a great atmosphere with a high energy environment and the food is great too. Very important!
I really want to go to a Boston Red Sox game and a Chicago Cubs game to check out their historic ball parks. Has anyone ever been there?

Been to Fenway "hundreds" of times - great place to watch a game (biased opinion of a Sox Fane).

Even the seat "behind" the posts are worth it!!!

Wrigley is also a great place to see a game.

So is Yankee Stadium, not so much for the closeness of the action but just to see what a "stadium" should be like. Truly impressive.


As for the food, who cares, I don't go to a ballpark because of the food!!!

Been to Fenway and Wrigley--I think experiencing a game in each is something every big baseball fan should do. Their respective cities are very cool to check out too.

But, I have to go with my hometown favorite: (old) Busch Stadium.

Along with so many other St. Louisans, Busch Stadium housed many memories of what makes St. Louis such a great baseball town; history and tradition. After going to many games their with family and friends, I was sad to see old Busch go--but the new stadium is pretty nice.

ATT Park in San Francisco, great place to see a game, there are only a few seats that are not that good to watch the game, the views of the bay, and the attractions both inside and outside the park make you want to get htere plenty early to enjoy them, and then there is MO MO's after the game.

2 words...THE VET(old phillies stadium)......Enough said, we had a jail and a court there :) Gotta love philly fans!

I'm from upstate NY, but I've never been to Yankees stadium. Instead, when I was little, we took trip a few hours northwest to Toronto to watch the Blue Jays. The SkyDome (now the Rogers Centre) was the first stadium built with a retractable roof, pretty handy when the weather is so unpredictable. It sits in the middle of the city where all the action is. So Toronto is definitely my favorite ballpark.

This was my favorite field until it was torn down. It was the Los Angeles Angels home field know as the Wrigley Field of the West.

Walter O'Malley had bought the Angels and the stadium in 1957 to capture territorial rights. In 1958 O'Malley moved the Dodgers from Brooklyn and moved the PCL Angels to Spokane. Click on the link for a detail history of the stadium. It says the last game played there was in 1961. The funny thing is both my father and I specifically recall seeing the, then new expansion, MLB Angels play there in 1963 or 1964. It was torn down sometime in the mid sixties.

I find it interesting that the following movies had been filmed there: Pride of the Yankees, The Stratton Story, about the one legged pitcher played by Jimmy Stewart, It Happens Every Spring, Rhubarb (a cat inherits a baseball team). The Winning Team, The Kid from Left Field, The Pride of St. Louis, Whistling in Brooklyn (with Red Skelton), and **** Yankees.

Camden Yards is the best ball park around and if you haven't been there yet you should definitely check it out. It's in the heart of Baltimore and you can't sit in a bad seat in the place. Every seat is roomy with enough leg room and all the seats angle towards home plate. The brick architecture and double decker bull pens are not something you see at every ball park.
This is a good post...I like hearing what other people have to say about the best parks.
