Isn't our Nita just the smartest.  Now how do I get the smily face to show?  Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't?

Re: My very bad afternoon

So one worked and the other didn't, but I have to type my smiley faces now like that.  I don't see the little icon to insert them anymore.  To get the smiley face you type colon dash right paren

Re: My very bad afternoon

I think for many of them the dash is optional.

No dashes. They were colon right parenthesis, colon capital D, colon left parenthesis, colon lowercase p, semicolon right parenthesis

God only knows how, but this time they all worked.  It's a random kind of a thing, I have the icon on the toolbar, use it all the time and it's still random, today I got lucky.

I've never had a problem getting them to work, but you may not be able to put them immediately adjacent to a characterB-)

OK.  I'll put a blank before this one.

I have had problems getting them to work when editing a post.

Here I go again testing that 'blank' theory.;)

Now the one with the blank.

And I'm quoting Steelers21. . . which would be like me saying, "Roethlisberger, you suck!"  Oh, wait, this is about the forum. . .

See, quotes and smileys in the same message!

Go easy on my man Ben, I happen to LOVE him!!

Here in Pittsburgh, we have something called the Roethlis-Burger.  I thought you would get a kick out of this!  It is fun just to watch someone try to eat this!!

The sandwich consists of ground beef, sausage, scrambled eggs, grilled onions and American cheese and is served on a portuguese roll. Depending on who you ask, it weighs between 1 and 1.5 pounds.

OMG, take out the sausage and that sounds like the most amazing thing in the universe right now. Must still be recovering from my bike/run today!

Re: My very bad afternoon

Q: What do Steelers21 and Tony Romo have in common?

A: They have won exactly the same number of playoff games.

Big Ben rocks.  He breaks more tackles than most running backs.
