Big Ten conference tourney picks?

Softball fans... tomorrow the Big Ten will kick off their conference tournament at Northwestern University.

What are your thoughts on who will emerge victorious??--top seed and host Northwestern... #2 University of Michigan... an underdog?

I would have answered this question in support of Michigan. I saw them play two weekends ago and they looked really tough to beat. However, they lost today in a big upset by Michigan State and were sent home. They will surely get an at-large bid to the tournament and I'm still expecting big things from them.

No. 11 seed Northwestern (37-13) vs. Western Illinois (14-31) tomorrow!!! Northwestern has some stars who should be even better during tournament play like Lauren Delaney on the mound, Nicole Pauly and Tammy Williams.

I know the Drohan twins were super excited when they claimed this recruit from Missouri.

And rightfully so: Tammy Williams is a phenomenal athlete and among the nation's leaders in batting average. She's currently ranked 5th with a .469 average. She also just got selected for the third consecutive year for  first-team All-Region, was named Big Ten Player of the Year in 2008, and is one of 10 finalists for USA Softball's Player of the Year award.

    Wow.
