Re: Who else watched USC crush ASU last night?
Wow...so...WVU vs. Missouri/Kansas winner? And if OU interrupts the party?

My guess is that LSU stays above Ohio State in the rankings.

Heck - maybe Georgia will play for the title without winning its conference!

I have very high hopes Georgia Tech will end that speculation tomorrow afternoon. I had decided to not go to the game. But after some strong resistance from my grand nephew I shelled out $200.00 today for tickets for around the 30 yard line. That gives me a net of $400.00 on the tickets I originally sold.

Re: Who else watched USC crush ASU last night?
I don't think they should be ranked higher than all those teams - I just think they are the best SEC team at this point of the season. They are playing the best right now. I do think UGA is good as well.

I like the Gators fine but they have lost to LSU, Auburn and UGA. Thus, I have no idea how you say they are the best team in the SEC.

Woooo pig! Sooooooiiiieee!
OK, he didn't quite get 937 yards, but 206 yards rushing, plus throwing a TD pass ain't too shabby. Heisman worthy?

From what I was told, if WV loses today, OSU has a chance at the national championship. It's just what I was told, I have no idea if that is correct....

If WVU loses or Oklahoma wins the Big 12 Championship TOSU will play in the title game!!!

Heisman worthy? Absolutely! If he does not win it the fix was in!!

Re: Who else watched USC crush ASU last night?
Last year the Big Ten's schedule worked against them, this year it might be doing them a favor.

All Ohio State needs is for either Oklahoma win the Big 12 or WV lose to Uconn or Pitt. (Heck if WV escapes Uconn or Pitt tOSU might jump).

This Season is so weird, we could end up with a two loss National Champion.
How so...
Kansas loses to Missouri
Missouri loses to Oklahoma.
West Virgina loses to either Pitt or Uconn.

This would push tOSU to the title game but leave KU as the only schoold with 1 loss from the BCS and Hawaii as undefeated. I can't see KU recovering or Hawaii leaping enough to move into second place.

So if LSU or Georgia wins the SEC, they'll probably be number two. Or VTech if they win the ACC they might get in.

Heck, isn't this so much more fun than a playoff.

Yes. I wonder how much free advertising the NCAA gets from people discussing what might happen if there were a playoff.

Re: Who else watched USC crush ASU last night?
It is a blast. It is a playoff from the 4th week on!! Some teams get a pass - like Florida did last year, and LSU almost did this year - tOSU might get a late season pass as well.

pigeye - you are so right. The NCAA has to be loving all this the last two years.

Re: Who else watched USC crush ASU last night?
The thing is even if there were a playoff there's a good chance USC wouldn't be invited for most schemes. l can't see them having more than 8 teams and that would have to include the champions of each major conference (Oregon wins the tiebreaker).

The lack of a "true" national champion has never really bothered me that much. Possibly since Iowa has only been in national title contention once in my lifetime.
