I'm sorry to hear that you didn't make it in. 

I didn't enter; I doubt that I ever will.  Just not interested in a marathon in NYC, nor one that uses a lottery.

That's such a bummer.  We are all sad for you too.  But look on the bright side.  You can run MCM with us.

Sorry Kathy. You have tons of company though. I didn't get in either. On the bright side, if I read your post correctly and this was your third straight year of rejection, you're in for next year! So early congrats! I ran NYC last year, so this is only strike one for me. If I remember correctly, Charlie was in through qualification (he's fast remember). The "please leave us alone" (paraphrasing) message that appeared at 2 PM yesterday and lasted until, you guessed it, 11:59 PM, was kinda annoying. I guess they were getting way too many people checking obsessively (myself included ). Remember that virtually half of NYC Marathon comes from overseas entries, most through tour groups. I believe roughly half of the remaining are pre-qualified, leaving the lottery for that last quarter or so to us huddled masses. Are you running MCM?

Thank god you quit eating the PEEnapple version. I was just asking where the third strikers with automatic entry fall into your equation.
