which surgery should i get for torn acl and meniscus

i recently tore my acl and meniscus playing backyard football. i am 14 and i think i will soon have surgery but im not sure what surgery i should get on it the doctor is not a specialis in knees but he thinks i should get the surgery where i get two parts of the knee cap removed then puting in a ligament in replacement for it but i have a cousin who torn it at my age and did the surgery where you take a ligament form the knee then puting it in replacemt by two holes then putting in srwes for it and now four years later his knee is better than ever and it has been good for a while so i would think that would be a good idea but soon i will meet with him to seee want will decide on whether just to where a brace or to get the surgery and what surgery will i get and i also want it to heel fast so i can play baseball next year and i will be taking phsyical therapy after the surgery so if i could get yr opinion on which surgery will be best for my knee to be able to play on and also a quit recovery it will help me a lot. please suggest other surgeries if you feel others would be better.

thank you for responding

First, go to a doctor who specializes in knee injuries. Only a qualified doctor will know which surgery if necessary is best for your particular problem. There are some knee injuries that do not require surgery. Please do yourself a favor and get proper treatment I did not and now I cannot enjoy many of the sports I love.
