Re: upcoming races
I use Active's classic search as my first stop. It seems to cover about 80% of local races. You can get there from the Active home page and click "use classic search" (I'm not a fan of their new search). Or you can be lazy and just click here. Select "Running" for event type.
USATF will list some that Active doesn't have. Use the "Calendar Search" at http://www.usatf.org/events/ . Local running clubs also will have listings you don't see elsewhere.

Craig, where is the 5k on fla day? I am planning on the sheehan still, however baseball has put a wrench in my life. Both boys have decided they need to play all stars and the coaches have decided this is a perfect weekend to start- I am waiting for scheduals with my fingers crossed that nothing interfers with my run. Are you coming to the 5K tonight, Kathy, or have you been spared the baseball wrench and can run the Sheehan Classic?
I was there- I think I may have seen you. I was towards the back- I had a flag. I am actually pleased with my run- 36 min for me which is good. I had to hurry out of there because I had to pick up my son. I asked one person who had a mcm hat on if he was craig and he -obviously - said "no". Did you run? Another age group win?
Re: upcoming races
Oh, I wish I knew to look for you! No I wasn't wearing any MCM stuff. I was wearing a white with orange ING Georgia shirt during the race and the green Long Branch Half shirt after. As for my results, well I don't want to give away my own race report!
Jerry! You do exist!! Welcome back! Too busy with your pee-wee hockey... :P My upcoming races are all questionable as it depends on how my legs feel. I killed them yesterday with lifting and followed that by a hard 10 that was killer due to heat. I ran the bridge so I consider it hill work. There is a steady half mile climb to the top on the way back and I nailed it at about mile 8 or 9 with a 3:15 half uphill. I was going to run 5-7 today but stayed off my feet and rested. Back to my future races: Small 5K this Sat 6/14 4th of July 2 mile sprint (first one since college) I hope to be in the 10:30 range? Then Jay Vermonts 33 mile fun run over the woods and through the river 7/26 August will find me in Tupelo for a crazy hot marathon September I will be in Dayton Ohio for the Air Force Marathon October I will be Chicago bound and might run MCM November I am thinking San Antonio and a local marathon here on the gulf coast December will be White Rock in Dallas January Houston Okay so those are most of the marathons planned but will speckle in a few local 5 and 10K's plus some miles with the kiddos. I hope to see you at the B-10! I'll be the one wearing running shoes, shorts and a t-shirt. Don't forget the brutal race beginning/ending at the same place the week after -- the Dreaded Druid Hills 10K. Yes, you will beat yourself up over it. I put in the 'hope' to see you due to a sudden knee problem. I took the day off; iced it three times yesterday and I've been hitting the Blue Emu. I was hoping for 10 or 12 on Saturday but I'm not so sure. For finding races, this is a good link. It's to the Washington Running Report but you can choose your location where you will be running (along with month, etc.).

It's ONLY 10 miles. . . c'mon, you know you want to. Whether you finish second or last, you still finish behind the first guy. Or as Ricky Bobby says, "If you ain't first, you're last!" After finally getting past my bronchitis, I think I'm ready for the 10 miler but I refuse to run the Dreaded Druid Hills! Just the Celtic Solstice 5 Miler from last year seemed like it was all uphill for the first 4 miles! This lake-to-lake thing should be fun. I'll have to get there early so I can get my bib. Re: upcoming races
Another place I've found to be pretty good for finding races. It has a pretty good listing, though by no means comprehensive. When you look by state, it also gives you a menu (upper left) to adjacent states. So I can easily look at New Jersey and Delaware races after checking Philly area races.
