What do I buy?

I am looking to buy a new bicycle? I am currently on a 13yr. old mountain bike, so anything would be an upgrade. I have been reading all I can, but feel overwhelmed. Any suggestions on brands, type (road or tri), and help would be appreciated. Currently I am participating in Sprint tris, but do plan on progressing to greater distances.

go to a good local bike shop (one that doesnt' push you towards the $4k bikes) and they can help you find a bike that fits your budget and fits you. you are probably looking at an entry level road bike or tri bike like cannondale, specialized, fuji, quintana roo, jamis. try them out and see what is comfortable to you

Im on my first road bike its a Fuji Roubiax and I love it. 400 miles and counting and not anything wrong to speak of. Ill also be using it in my first tri this august.
