    What have I done?

It seems that I have run myself into the ground because I am so flat right now, but it was well worth it.  I ran 5 races (3 wins and 2 second place) including a second place finish at the Frederick Marathon and I captured the Frederick Steeplechasers' Grand Prix series championship.  I earned a Brooks sponsorship and the owner of my local running store (If The Shoe Fits) told me I am ranked in the new Washington Running Report.  I will likely never be able to duplicate the past 6 months; everything worked out better than I could possibly have hoped for.

Way to go Jay! That's awesome! You must be one of those blurs that goes by so quickly.

Way to go Jay!  Is the new listings in the Washington Runners Report out already...I didn't see it on the web.

Thanks!  I looked on-line and didn't see it, but I was told I'm 8th (I assume that's in the 35-39 age group).  I'll have to find a hard copy so I can put it with my race numbers and results.

I'm NYC right now, no running, too hot, but my god, those little girls keep me running.  The new one is so little and the big one is so smart and cute.  So I do nothing but cooking, (to put in the freezer) pick up the stuff to cook, and finally check the board.  It's good to hear you're all so active. You're inspiring.  Hope you all have a good 4th weekend coming up, I'm sure we will.

Re: Half the Year is Gone...What have you Done?

    Through 30 June:

2 Races:  Phoenix Rock N Roll Half Marathon, Enviro 5K (PRs for both races)

    235.2 Running Miles

I don't really keep track of my miles on the stationary bike, but it's usually around 15-17 miles a work out and I started the crosstraining about a month ago. So I will ballpark it at about 130 miles.  Too bad frequent flyer miles don't count.  I've got a gazillion of those since the year started due to my job.  It looks like more of the same in the second half of the year.  Talk to you soon.

Re: Half the Year is Gone...What have you Done?

I need to keep better track of my running . . . I had to go look at my tee shirts to figure out which races I had run.  As near as I can determine:

    9 races run this year.

    6 10k's.

    3 5k's.

Total miles in races: 75 kilometers (46 miles)

Total miles run: Approximately 400.  Averged 15 miles per week for first 4 months, then did 70 in May and 88 in June.

Total x-training: no swimming, no biking, minimal elliptical, some weights.  Have not x-trained at all . . .
