Help me pick a presentation topic
I have one class that I'm taking this term as a basic graduation requirement: Public Speaking. Since I go to a tech school, they make all undergrads take an easy course in public speaking to give us an idea of how it would feel to present ideas to groups.
I hate it! It's so easy, and I'm so afraid of it. There are usually only 2 or 3 people watching me, including the professor, but I still freak out... for no reason. I'm fine at giving talks on science stuff, but I already gave my technical presentation, and I have to give one that isn't really science related.
I gave a talk on water polo offense plays (non-science) and the Grateful Dead's Wall of Sound (science). I was either going to present on Hunter S. Thompson and the Gonzo journalism movement or the Altamont free concert in '69. Do you have interesting tidbits on either topic, or other suggestions?
