hi all back after a three day trip out of state. I did run 7.3 on Thursday and 6.1 today.
teabag - When I began increasing the miles I too was out of energy. Three things 1. pace 2. diet 3. sleep. Make sure your non-long run days are mixed days with the proper paces. Runners World has a pace schedule for each day. It sounds like my early trials and ran too fast too often. Make sure you slow the pace when you need to and you will have more energy. How is the diet? Are you getting the proper foods? Finally, are you getting enough seep and rest? You are doing fantastic.
chuck - love the story of running with your son. You never know someday he may run. Are you still planing a visit out there by him?
macd - DW just started her work year so she will be busy for a while. I will be traveling quite a bit the next few months and then it will calm down some. I am not looking forward to TM days. I will try to run outside throughout the winter again. I can't believe the snow is just a few months away. I see today another quality run. How are your daughters doing?
dari - lol on the songs your DS loaded on your ipod. My songs vary from Christian Rock to Classic Rock with some Country in there are well. I just work on the playlists to ensure when I am doing hills or really need a push that Barry Manilow doesn't play.... lol
misswendy - do you run with a boom box on your shoulder? lol. Or do you have one of those CD players, maybe 8-track tape or cassette? I have had them all. Long run tomorrow? Great running.
rach - DW does the same profession as you but not your subject. Thanks for the link for the Komen. Maybe I can pick up my DD from school and take her to the race to run.
spicegeek - food always works with us guys. You know every angle. With us guys, it is not difficult to figure us out.
reeb - how is the running going? Are you looking for another race? Are you feeling better?
jess - welcome and congrats on the HM. I run at night unless I am traveling. I usually take a full day off before I switch from morning to evening. If you like evenings you should get reflective gear and lights.
teabag - glad to hear you are taking it easier.
joe - low 70's? That is winter weather for you. Four miles tomorrow, good luck. It was in the 50's the last few mornings for my running.
cara - way to tough it out on the tempo run. I agree with you 100% on the day after a rest day. I took off Wednesday and Thursday's run was really tough. I see another run today and a race in the near future.
gayle - glad you had safe travels. Good lick with the test run.
I am caught up now. If I missed anyone I am sorry.
