Hi everyone,
Thanks to all the responses for my last statistics project. I have one more project before the term ends and since i had such an overwhelming response on this site I will ask one more question:
Do you lift weights as part of your exercise regiment ? If so how many days/week and how many minutes total for the week?
Thank you all for your help and support!!
Sheryl
Yes, I lft weights. I usually lift one day a week unless I'm doing Pilates then I skip
I usually lift three times a week, but when events start this summer I will probably go down to one.
Yes, I do light weights one day a week. I do push ups and pull ups four days a week. I do a Total Gym workout, which uses your weight and an incline board as your resistance, one day a week.
Gotta love statistics! Hope you post your results when you get done!
As a cyclist I lift twice a week in the off season, basically from November to Februrary. I work out at home. My lifting consists of 20 min warm up on spin bike and 40 min weight regimin.
I tend to use a combination of free weights and mechines, starting with cardio 4-5 times a week for i say maybe 60-90 min at a time
I do lift weights for periods- this time is 6-7 weeks - then one week rest then one week harder aerobics then back to another weight program. The present program scatters standard weights with balance lifts (on a ball or one legged) with stamina weight lifting (pyramids or high reps). I do so for 5 days a week with aerobics prior to workout. Aerobics include running, bike or swimming.

Hello. I'm currently doing the P90X program, which involves working out 6 days per week. Three of the workouts involve weights, with pull-ups and push-ups also. Each lasts for approximately 60 minutes.
Good luck with the project!
