Training in the Heat

Hey,

I was looking for some information and some tips.  I have been training pretty hard since Feb.  I have done 2 10K's, 2 5k's and 1 Sprint Tri Race.  I live in Richmond, Va where it is very hot and humid in the summer.  I have notice over the last 3 weeks or so its been getting harder and harder to train and that my endurance seems to be suffering.  Could you please provide some advice.

Re: Training in the Heat

Run early and if you can't hit a treadmill in a cool gym. If your like me, the humidity is the real killer. it makes running not fun. I go from doing Half-marathon distance for a lunch run inthe winter to grinding out early morning runs of 4-6 miles in the summer. Hydrate, keep the elecrtolyte levels up and watch the weather.com site for the best time to run in your area.
