Running Music Mix for 5 KM - Run2Rhythm

For all those just starting out and wanting to get a feel for how fast to run during a 5km run whether or not its training or a fun run here is a suggestion from run2rhythm if you are wanting to run 40 minutes for the distance

Tempo Jogging (medium) 45 minutes Approx Distance covered 5.6 km or 3.5 miles

On the Delta 156bpm - Nick Charles Juvien156bpm - Adrian Vincent Power of Sound 156bpm - Andrew Batterham

www.run2r.com/runningmusicmixes.aspx   Music for half marathyons at www.run2r.com/halfmarathonmixes.aspx

If this is a bit too fast you could try running at paces of Slow Jogging.

If anyone wants to know any other running times related to music speeds let me know.

Good Luck

Re: Running Music Mix for 5 KM - Run2Rhythm

I am new here but I have been looking at this community for a while. I was so enthusiastic about running with the music from run2rhythm that I had to post.

I chose the 40 minutes for 5 km suggestion and it was just great. It actually took me about 15 secs less.

The run2rhythm music is very good to run to.

Gary,

Give you a suggestion for a fast 5km run.

Did a (fast 22mins for me)5km tonight after work. Started off with Force Within by Morgan (good rock) and finished with  Phoenix by Szondy. Both solid and powerful tracks. Good pace and I ran great. Hoping to break 20 minutes soon. I like the fact that your run2rhythm tracks are all 15minutes long. Means I  get a consistent rhythm which I like.

Has anyone run with Power of Sound - Andrew Batterham from run2rhythm. It is a fantastic 15 minute track that really inspired me and got over some hils that really hurt. I just felt great afterwards.

Tomorrow I am going to run with the whole album. It goes for an hour and it will be my longest run.

Carrie,

I ran the 5km 'Mother day' classic in Melbourne listening to Power of Sound on my iPod. It was simply amazing as people would rush past me but I would catch them later, particularly on the hills during the run.

I found it truly inspiring.

Gary,

You said you were doing some music mixes for marathon running. Where are they? When will they be ready?

Gary I ran with the music at 30 minutes and it took me 31mins. Is this ok.  Will this improve.
