Re: Favorite Football  Movie

By far, The Program is the best football movie ever made. It tackles all the real life issues involved in college football and you also get to see some great football being played too. Close behind would be Varsity Blues and We are Marshall.

Re: Favorite Football  Movie

My favorites are one many of you may have missed "The Last Season", a terrific documentary about a high school coach's last drive for a state championship before retiring.  And two you all have seen; the under-rated  "Waterboy" which is way more complex than most people give it credit for and also the biography of many us that have played the game.  I'll also second the afore mentioned over-blown, but entertaining "The Program". The old "Paper Lion" was  fun; a throwback to a more innocent time.  Biggest dissapointment was "Friday Night Lights".  Unfortunately, the best football movies have been lost. My old game films. Should have stolen them when I had the chance.

No discussion needed. Rudy, staring a young and very skinny Vince Vaughn. Check it out, he's the reciever who scores the last min TD so Rudy can get back on the field.

Vince Vaughn was Jamie O' Hara who was reemed out by the coach when he said Rudy was 'playing the last practice of the year like it was the super bowl' and he went from third team to scout team. In addition I love the movie ' Little Giants'

No one has mentioned Nick Nolte's "North Dallas 40". I think of that movie every morning when attempting to get out of bed.
