Hello. This is my first post here -- I could use a little advice.
I am a semi-newbie. I've been running for about a year, but I am not that consistent. I ran a half-marathon in August, and have done a few smaller races -- an 8K and a 5K.
My question is about heel pain. My left heel has been painful for the past few months. I don't feel any pain while I am running, but a few hours later it starts and lasts for a few days. It started right before my half-marathon, so I got new shoes but it's still occuring. It is not debiltating -- I can walk through it, but I am afraid that I am going to do permanent damage and become unable to run.
Has anyone experienced this? Do you have any advice? I don't know if there is a stretch I can do, or if I should see a sports medicine doctor about it.
